Road Marking Paint

Thermoplastic road marking paint is typically produced in solid block or powder form and applied to road surfaces using specialized equipment after being heated to high temperatures (typically between 180–220°C or 180–210°C). These paints are solvent-free, making them more environmentally friendly. Due to their hot-melt application process, they offer very fast drying times (typically between 2–4 minutes, 4 minutes, or 4–7 minutes), which minimizes traffic disruption and allows roads to be reopened quickly after application.

Thermoplastic paints provide long-lasting retroreflectivity, excellent adhesion, and high abrasion resistance on asphalt surfaces. They also exhibit superior physical and chemical durability. They are suitable for a wide range of applications including divided highways, motorways, main urban roads, pedestrian crossings, symbols, and parking areas. When applied using specialized methods such as profile skipping, thermoplastic markings can also enhance road safety by providing tactile and audible feedback to fatigued or inattentive drivers.
